Barbacks/Glassies support staff serving behind a bar or counter by maintaining stock, keeping the bar clean and glassware/cutlery washed and replenished. Barbacks/Glassies also work on the floor clearing tables, glassware, wiping down surfaces, resetting furniture and quickly actioning any breakages or spills out on the floor. Whilst not directly serving customers, Barbacks/Glassies are friendly and supportive when redirecting any customer needs. Successful Talent work quickly and comfortably in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Act as the go-to support for bartenders
Pick up glasses, remove food plates and cutlery, empty ashtrays
Set and wipe down tables
Constantly maintain cleanliness and appearance of the venue, including bar areas, customer seating areas, dance floors, toilets, etc.
Wipe down surfaces, sweep, mop, collect rubbish, used glassware, and empty trash bins
Quickly action cleaning of dropped or broken glassware or drinks
Maintain all safety standards

Requirements

Previous work experience as a barback, glassie or food runner
Effectively multitask whilst maintaining a friendly, professional attitude and appearance
Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally
Punctual (always on time)
Ability to meet physical demands of the position including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods of time
A responsible and trustworthy team player
