Food Attendant (Retail)
Jitjatjo is looking for energetic team members who are passionate about customer service.
Counter hands manage all transactions and product service with customers quickly and accurately. These positions are often taking place in large venues such as stadiums, convention centers, and festivals. Successful Talent maintain a professional and friendly attitude while interacting with customers to properly manage payment transactions, issues, and requests.
Prepare food orders at the counter, deliver food and manage customer transactions via POS.
Responsibilities
Deliver friendly, fast, and helpful customer service at the counter and/or register
Accurately process food/beverages/merchandise for customers using the Venue’s POS
Greet customers when entering or leaving the area
Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
Be prepared to perform a range of tasks including serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between Kitchen and Front of House teams
Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and utensils to customers in a timely manner
Deliver cooked food from outlet to outlet / suite to suite as required
Assist guests by explaining meals, drinks, and accompaniments
Help clear items to maintain cleanliness
Be alert and observant as guests enjoy their dining experience to anticipate their needs
Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
Check customers' identification as required to confirm their legal drinking age
Restock bar inventory and supplies as required
Maintain all safety standards
Constantly organise, and maintain front-of-house / customer areas
Comply with food and beverage regulations, ensuring Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Requirements
Previous work experience in Restaurants, Bars or Fast Food preferred
Willingness to work in large venues, stadiums, convention centers, etc.
Good math skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and stay organised.
Ability to follow directions and manage time effectively
Be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including walking, standing, and lifting potentially heavy items while interacting with customers
Understand POS systems including, registers, scanners, calculators, smartphones, tablets, and computers
An outgoing and friendly behaviour, a positive attitude, and an interest in interacting with customers
Have great communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team environment
Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including; walking, standing and lifting potentially heavy items while interacting with customers
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is required
